How does Alevia work?

Alevia is a non-invasive drug-free system designed to help people manage their chronic pain symptoms. Alevia uses EEG neurofeedback to help your brain learn to respond differently to pain. We have designed a unique headset that measures your brain's electrical activity (via non-invasive sensors touching your scalp) and provides real-time feedback on an app that you can use on your desktop, laptop or tablet. You'll play interactive games where the app uses visual and audio feedback to reward your brain and to help you feel relief from your symptoms. With repeated sessions over weeks, these rewarded patterns of brain activity will become more frequent, which can lead to longer-term changes in how your brain is organised and a return to a more optimal way of functioning.
