Why are some sessions easy and others harder?

Neurofeedback helps your brain spend more time in activity patterns that are linked with healthier, more optimal functioning. The more training sessions you do, the more your brain changes over time. As you gradually improve and your brain starts to make long lasting changes, your training threshold will likely increase, which can make it feel harder to reach the same level as before. This can sometimes feel discouraging, but it is a normal sign that your brain is learning and adapting.

It is also normal for your threshold to go up and down on different days, and for you to sometimes feel as if you have hit a plateau. These ups and downs are part of neuroplastic changes at a deep level, and the key is to keep completing sessions so that your brain continues to improve over time.
